Aseel is a specialty coffee roastery based in Dubai. We source from one named family estate as the spine of the brand, supplement with a small number of documented single-origins, and roast to order in our Dubai roastery the week each bag ships.
THE STORY
One name. One commitment.
Aseel (أصيل) means authentic, noble, of pure origin. The same word in Arabic and Urdu, carrying weight across the Gulf and the Subcontinent. A single, ownable word that encodes the entire proposition: a real estate, a real harvest, a real provenance.
The roastery was founded in Dubai with a specific thesis: that the UAE specialty market had enough roasters claiming direct trade, and what it lacked was a brand built entirely around one documented family relationship with one named farm. Aseel is that brand.
We roast in Dubai because freshness is structural, not aspirational. The roast date printed on the back of every Aseel bag is a hand-stamp applied by the roaster on the day the batch was done. Bags ship within 96 hours of that date.
VALUES
Every lot has a name, a place, and a documented origin. We do not say "sourced from Ethiopia" — we say Gedeo Estate, lot 002, November harvest.
Roasted to order, not to stock. The roast date on the bag is the date it was roasted — not the date the batch was packaged or dispatched.
We label what is V1 and what is coming in V2. We do not fake testimonials or invent urgency. The cupping score on the bag is our own measurement, not the producer's certificate.
We keep the catalogue small. We do not chase every origin or trend. The catalogue grows by one lot at a time, when a lot merits it.
