ORDERS AND DELIVERY

Every Aseel bag is roasted to order. The roast date hand-stamped on the back of the bag is the date it was roasted. We ship within 96 hours of the roast date. For UAE addresses, most orders arrive within 1–3 working days of dispatch, meaning your coffee is typically 3–5 days off-roast when it reaches you — within the peak flavour development window for most brewing methods.

Standard UAE delivery: 1–3 working days from dispatch. Express same-day delivery is available in Dubai for orders placed before 11:30am. Free delivery on all orders over 150 AED. We do not ship outside the UAE in Phase 1.

Coffee that arrives damaged, incorrectly packed, or significantly different from what was ordered can be returned or refunded — contact hello@aseel.coffee within 48 hours of delivery. We do not accept returns on opened bags for taste preference reasons; if the cupping score on the bag is not representative of what you've brewed, that is a quality issue we want to hear about.

PRODUCTS

The cupping score (marked Q on the bag) is an SCA (Specialty Coffee Association) protocol score measured by our team in our Dubai cupping lab. It rates the coffee on fragrance, aroma, flavour, aftertaste, acidity, body, balance, uniformity, clean cup, and sweetness on a 100-point scale. Specialty coffee is defined as 80 and above. Aseel's catalogue ranges from 83 to 88. This is our own measurement — not the producer's certificate.

Lots (001–099) are single-origin coffees from a single named producer — one harvest, one variety, one process, documented in full. Blends (051, 052) are house blends built for consistency and daily use — they do not carry a single-origin provenance because by definition they don't have one. The blends are excellent daily coffees; they are not the point of the brand, which is why they carry higher lot numbers.

Store in the sealed Aseel bag in a cool, dry place away from direct light. The bag's one-way degassing valve keeps the bag stable for up to 8 weeks from roast date for whole beans. Ground coffee degrades faster — use within 2–3 weeks. Do not freeze unless you are opening the bag and resealing it in a vacuum-sealed container.

Scanning the QR on the back of the bag opens the lot's provenance page on your phone — estate, harvest date, roast date, cupping score, and brew parameters specific to the grind in that bag. If you have an Aseel account and are logged in to the app, the scan is recorded against your profile and you can rate the cup after you've brewed it. The rating builds your palate profile.

The Decaf Colombia (Lot 099) uses the washed process for the green coffee processing stage. The decaffeination method used by Tolima Estate is documented in the lot's provenance record — scan the QR on the bag for the full technical detail. We confirm the decaffeination method for every decaf lot before it enters the catalogue.
